This role will work as part of the commercial sales team, which focusses on B2B customers. We are looking for an energetic and motivated self-starter to join a busy and growing department within our AV business. It is essential to have someone who has an interest or passion for AV, is personable and able to build rapport quickly and is organised and able to manage their own workload in a fast-paced environment. While product knowledge is advantageous, the most important part is someone who thrives in a sales environment, who has a positive attitude and who is willing and enthusiastic about understanding the industry and product. There is an opportunity to earn fantastic commission in this role, so a hungry sales person working within our established teams are going to succeed.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifying potential new accounts and new business opportunities and working with the wider sales team to convert these into Sales
- Working through prospecting lists and making contact, via telephone, email and face to face meetings with potential clients’ and historical customers
- Dealing with incoming enquiries via the website, email and telephone and responding to these, ensuring that you request the correct information in order to be able to provide comprehensive advice or a quote
- Completing sales administration tasks including data in-put to the company CRM, creation of quotes, data in-put into spreadsheets
- Liaising with the relevant departments and customers regarding any issues with customer orders, ensuring all amendments are communicated promptly and accurately
- Producing relevant sales reports in relation to personal and departmental sales performance
- Working with B2B customers both remotely and in person to ensure continued sales at competitive but profitable levels
- Networking to ensure that professional customer relations are developed and maintained to ensure long-term success
- Working closely with key customers to identify and address specific needs
- Staying up to date with internal and external developments and suggesting new ways to increase sales
- Developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate products and services in line with Company requirements and working alongside our technical team to ensure the best sales solutions and quotes are provided
- Working with marketing to shape campaigns that target areas of interest, whether that be products or customer groups

- Escalating all customer complaints and account queries promptly and efficiently to maintain high customer satisfaction ratings
- Maintaining a high level of enthusiasm and motivation at all times
- Performing any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the sales department.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in sales is advantageous, but the most important characteristics are a candidate who is energetic, motivated, positive, a self-starter with a desire to learn and succeed
- Experience within the AV industry, consumer technology or wider technology arena is advantageous
- A well organised and process driven person is essential
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical
- Proficient in MS Office especially excel and Outlook
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Must have UK driving licence and feel confident driving
This role reports to the Head of Department
Hours: Full Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive salary (negotiable dependent upon experience)
