Nirvana AV, a division of the TVD Group, is now recruiting a Smart Home Installer – Electrician, to support our rapidly growing business that delivers smart home installation projects across the North West. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and hard-working Control4 programmer & AV Engineer to join our smart technology installations team. You will be working on a variety of projects, from single cinema room installs, to projects for multi-million-pound properties.
The main responsibilities for this role will be:
- Programming of Control4 systems
- Installation and commissioning of Audio Visual & networking equipment
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on and off-site
- Interpretation of AV schematics and construction drawings
- Assisting in first and second fix electrics in domestic and commercial properties
- Assistance with on-site co-ordination meetings and initial electrics assessments
- Maintaining accurate up-to-date installation records
- Reporting to the Project Manager and representing them in their absence
- Liaising with other internal departments, clients and contractors
- Commitment to safe working practices and maintaining Health and Safety requirements
- Providing a high level of customer service
- Showing flexibility and willingness to develop the business and your role within it
A bit about the right person:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience programming Control4, or other relevant systems such as Lutron or Crestron
- Willingness to take on training and new qualifications in order to grow with requirements of business
- An interest in and experience of Smart Home Automation
- Ability to work in a clean, tidy and efficient manner
- Personable with good customer facing skills and smart appearance
- Flexibility for overtime
- Full UK driving licence is essential
This role will involve frequent travel, primarily across the North West, but throughout the UK as required, so the applicant must hold a current valid driving license to be considered for this opportunity. The role reports to the General Manager.
Hours: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive salary (negotiable dependent upon experience)
