Main Purpose

Working in a busy warehouse the main aim of the role is to process customer orders from receipt to dispatch and ensure that all deliveries are stored in the correct stock location in an orderly fashion. To assist with other Warehouse duties as required whilst ensuring the highest safety standards and working to keep the Warehouse environment organised.

Main Responsibilities

• Processing customer orders from receipt to dispatch using the Sage computer system and the handheld terminals
• Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring that all goods are picked, packed and dispatched on time
• Assisting the Goods In Supervisor by booking in and putting away stock in a safe and tidy manner
• Receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring the quality of goods
• Organising stock and storage area
• Helping to identify improvement opportunities
• Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
• Promoting teamwork within the business
• To undertake training to be able to progress and develop with the needs of the role and business
• To perform any other task that is of a reasonable request in line with the Warehouse Department

Hours: Full-time, permanent – Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

Salary: This role pays above the stated apprenticeship wage and has a quarterly performance related wage increase in place to provide higher earning opportunities.
