We understand that sustainability is an essential consideration for many of our clients and we believe that investing in sustainable energy solutions not only benefits the environment, but it also makes good business sense. We’ve made the huge decision of bringing green energy to the TVD offices and warehouse. We have invested almost £37,000, with a projected saving of nearly £10,000 on the company’s annual energy bills! It has been estimated that the solar panels will be generating nearly 38,658 kWh annually with our current usage being nearly 77,000 kWh.
By this time next year, we aim to have cut our carbon emissions cut by half, emitting 8,307kg fewer CO2 emissions each year! A typical 100 kW solar installation can offset 167 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions per year, which is the equivalent of planting over 2,500 trees. Whilst the cost savings are obviously important, we’re excited to be fulfilling our 2023 ambitions of becoming a more eco-friendly company.
